United ITF Events are back in Australia

United ITF events

After a tough 12 months across the Globe, not just in the Taekwon-Do community, but across all sectors, we are pleased to announce United ITF Events are back in person.

With Australia doing such a great job in containing and controlling the spread of COVID-19, it has allowed us the luxury of returning to face to face ITF events, when much of the World is still heavily restricted or locked down.

After months of zooming or glooming, we are finally back in action.

We have scheduled ITF seminars, ITF tournaments, gradings and social events where we can all get together once again, and celebrate Taekwon-Do.

We look forward to seeing you all in person, in dobok on the dojang floor and competition mats.

National Team training

After a full day of overseeing the running of the Australian Masters Games Taekwon-Do at the Adelaide Convention Center, Master Michael Muleta conducted National Team training for 2.5 hours for members of the team for the 2016 ITF World Championships who were present.

The training was conducted at the Nino Pilla Martial Arts Academy and consisted of technical refinements and tips for those competing in tuls at the Worlds next year in England.

Many Black Belt participants were present from Adelaide, Millicent, Mildura, Auckland, Gladstone, Melbourne and Geelong.

It was a long but successful and enjoyable day, thank you to all who came along.

Melbourne Technical Seminar

ITF Taekwon-Do Technical Seminar – Melbourne

seminarThoroughbred Taekwon-Do students from the Balwyn club were among several ITF members who attended an ITF Technical Seminar conducted by Master Michael Muleta, 8th Degree President and Technical Director of United ITF Taekwon-Do Australia.

taekwondo 3The seminar was conducted in Port Melbourne, Victoria and covered many technical aspects of Taekwon-Do including tuls, fundamentals, kicking, and teaching methodologies.

The main focus was the application of General Choi’s theories on power development and execution. Patterns diagrams were clarified and a focus on kicking drills and combinations.

taekwondo 4The session was split up into a morning session for all belts, followed by an afternoon session for black belts and instructors.
