Power Breaking along with Strength and Conditioning will be the theme of next month’s seminar program at the ITF Centre of Excellence on Sunday 11th September.

Master Michael Muleta, President & Technical Director of United ITF Taekwon-Do Australia, and CEO of Global Fitness Institute, will once again be conducting both seminars.

Master Muleta has an extensive history in strength and conditioning training and coaching to a wide range of clients. He has previously trained ITF World Power Breaking Champions from his school Thoroughbred Taekwon-Do (Korea 2010)

Session 1:

Strength Training for Martial Arts (10.30-12.30)

This session will look at strength and conditioning exercises and methods to develop strength and power, useful for martial arts performance.

Some theory content covering the fundamentals of strength development will be delivered, however the session will be largely practical, utilizing gym equipment.

Participants need to be injury free and able to participate physically.

Session 2:

Power Breaking (1.30-3.30)

This session will be looking at methodology and approach for Board Breaking using the commonly performed techniques in championships and testings.

Students will be shown approach paths, striking areas and correct utilization of mass to maximize impact.
